This Oaktron one-inch silk dome tweeter is a prime choice for two-way speaker systems. It features a conical wave guide design for a smoother frequency response, a large rear chamber for lower frequency crossovers*, and a high-energy neodymium magnet. The faceplate features recessed mounting holes to minimize reflections from mounting screws.

* Note: Protect your system's tweeters. Allowing lower frequencies to reach a tweeter can cause lasting damage. Use a passive or active high-pass filter (crossover) with this tweeter, and a simple first order (6 dB/octave) of a proper value capacitor to block low frequencies. MISCO suggests using a crossover that includes a capacitor and an inductor to achieve steeper low-frequency filtering of 12dB per octave. See the specifications of this tweeter for the smallest recommended crossover frequency.
